All About Me!
Where the Buffalo Roam!
Spending time behind the camera lens brings a sense of peace. Imaging what I see and allowing for the camera to take hold of the image is inspiring to me. Capturing an image of God's beauty, is a delight and allows me to honor God for his magnificent creations.
"Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing" Isaiah 40:26, ESV.
My passion for photography began during my college years with my first camera, a Minolta Maxxum 7000. It was fun to take pictures. As technology improved I transitioned from film photos to digital photos. In the early 2000, I acquired the Canon Digital Rebel. Still considering myself a beginner, I just enjoyed point and shoot, with the ability to use different lenses. As technology improved I transitioned between the dSLR and simple point & shoot cameras. It was just fun.
In 2016, my interest in photography grew from the beginner aspect to an enthusiast. I thought it would be fun to invest in a new Canon, and settled on the Canon 80D. This came in a nice kit with a couple of EF-S lenses. I was also able to acquire a Canon EF 100mm macro lense. This would also take nice portrait photographs.
Finally I decided to take a class to really understand the use of the camera, along with Lightroom and Photoshop. So this is my journey...
