This photo was fun to take. I manually focused on the reflection, and set a small aperture to capture focus of the window frame. The reflection of the treeline, along with the wood blinds that are attached to the inside of the window, creates an appearance of a privacy fence.

This photo was taken during the golden hour of the morning. LR adjustments were made to enhance the blue sky with a graduated filter. A second graduated filter at the bottom was used to decrease the exposure. PS was used to remove a light pole and a flower past its prime.

This photo was shot at night to capture the various lighting within the refinery. The photo was imported into PS then using the tools, blurred a second image and multiplying with the original. Adjustments in PS were made to improve the image.

Interesting technique. Difficult to get a moving object. Took hundreds of photos. This was the best of the bunch. LR edits included a graduated filter from the top, to enhance the blues and greens.

This was a fun assignment. The location was my front yard. I spent a little more than 1 hour clicking the shutter at various opportunities that would allow me to use the knowedge gained over these past few weeks to create some interesting photos. The B&W photo captured the fencing around a neighbors junk yard. The photo of my Vizsla was created by using the in-camera multiple exposure with a background of the privacy fence. The shadow of the tripod was just a neat picture of where I was stuck in place.

This is the Wyoming state flower - Castilleja linariifolia - Indian paintbrush. This flower is on the endangered species list. I was surprised to see it during a hike this week. Enhanced using the Dreamscape method, Adjusted in LR with Gradated Filters.

Birthday celebration. My youngest turned 20 this past weekend. This photograph was taken after dark, which created a shutter speed challenge, resulting in some blur.

This photo was taken with an idea from Freeman Patterson's book, Photography and the Art of Seeing. This was created by placing the macro lense in the middle of a group of flowers, setting the aperture to 2.8, and focusing on flowers in the background. Vignetting adjustments were made in LR.

This week is Cheyenne Frontier Days, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, home of the "Daddy of 'em All", worlds largest outdoor rodeo. One of the events features the Air Force Thunderbirds. It was fun trying to capture a silhouette of these amazing planes.

Cheyenne is known for its western heritage, and famous "Daddy of em All" outdoor rodeo. This old wagon is part of the "decorations" on the rodeo grounds. The HDR effect brought out the detail in the wagon, as well as some of the blue sky.

This photo was taken of the local refinery. This was 4 photos. To add a little spice, I duplicated the panorama in LR in order to increase the exposure on one of them. I then combined both in HDR. the boxes in the midground are train cars.

These halloween character lanterns appear to be mysteriously floating in the trees. Adjustments made in LR. Content Aware in PS was used to remove the ground stakes the lanterns were attached to.

This buffalo was grazing in a field outside of Cheyenne, WY. This experiement was to create a double exposure with this mountain scene. I found several YouTube videos on this technique. I created several layers and layer masks in PS, which provided the opportunity to remove areas of each photo to eliminate or add to the picture.
